Kim Lampkins (mornings), Morning News Anchor on American Urban Radio Networks, is a broadcast veteran of 24 years. Kim is a multi-faceted professional, who moves with ease from news to music to production aspects of radio programming. A graduate of Clarion University in Clarion, Pennsylvania, Kim began her career as a News Reporter in her hometown of Sharon, Pennsylvania and quickly moved to the ‘major leagues’ at Urban powerhouse KMJQ in Houston, TX just two years later. Kim has worked in other major markets such as Chicago, IL and Dallas, TX.

Kim has been recognized for her community involvement, such as Volunteers in Corrections/Youngstown, OH, Girls and Boy Scouts of Chicago, Family Rescue/Chicago and ChildServ/Chicago. Kim is respected industry wide as one of the country’s premiere broadcasters. Among her awards: Clarion University Award for Outstanding Service in the Field of Communications, The Pittsburgh Black Media Federation Robert L. Vann Award for Excellence , along with a Billboard Magazine Outstanding Medium Market Radio Personality of the Year nomination.
