(AURN) -- When it comes to domestic violence, there is a racial disparity.  According to statistics, African-American women fall victim at a higher rate than other ethnic groups.  October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and mental health professionals say it is important to make this issue a priority, especially within communities of color.
