(AURN) -- The Obama Administration is delaying a major requirement of the health care law. Businesses will get an extra year to implement a central tenet --the mandate to cover employees. The administration that the law has major problems. There have been commplaints from the private sector about reporting requirements.
The employer mandate penalizes employers with more than 50 employees if they fail to provide a minimum standard of affordable health insurance, was set to kick in in 2014, but now will take effect in 2015.
The delay not only allows the Administration time to alleviate concerns. Meantime Republicans are seizing the opportunity to renew calls for repeal of the law.
