Ariel Castro Formally Sentenced

(AURN) -- The man charged with kidnapping and raping 3 girls for over 10-years, has been formally charged in a Cleveland courtroom Thursday. Ariel Castro faced his victims for the first time since being arrested in May. Castro, who pleaded guilty to the 937 counts, including kidnapping and assult addressed the court Thursday:

"I'm not a monster. I'm just sick. I have an addiction, just like an alcoholic has an addiction," he said. "God as my witness, I never beat these women like they're trying to say that I did. I never tortured them."

Michelle Knight, one of Castro's victims also addressed the court saying, "I cried every night. I was so alone. I worried what would happen to me and the other girls every day".
