Barneys NY Addresses Racial Profiling Claims

(AURN) -- Tuesday, Reverend Al Sharpton and a group of community activists meet with the CEO of Barneys New York.  The meeting took place at Sharptons' National Action Network headquarters in NY.

Shaprton says the meeting was a "candid" discussion about the allegations of racial profiling at the high end department store.

Barneys is under fire after claims of racial profiling by two young, African-American customers who said they were accused of using fraudulent credit cards to make expensive purchases.

Among other participants participants, Kirsten John Foy, Chair of NAN’s Brooklyn Conference; Hazel Dukes, President of the New York chapter of NAACP; former NY Governor David Paterson;  Michael Eric Dyson, and other Barney's senior executives.
