(AURN/AP) -- George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch volunteer, who was acquitted in the fatal shooting of unarmed 17-year old Trayvon Martin was arraigned in a Florida courtroom today.

Zimmerman is facing 3 domestic violence related charges after he was arrested Monday for allegedly threatening his girlfriend with a gun.  Officials say 911 calls were made from the residence Zimmerman shared with his girlfriend.
Back in September, Zimmerman and his estranged wife were involved in a domestic dispute. Police said no charges were filed against either of them because of a lack of evidence.

Today, bond was set at 9,000 and Zimmerman will face a judge in January.

(AURN) -- George Zimmerman was arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor criminal mischief, Monday after reports say he pointed a shotgun at his girlfriend.

In a 911 call released Monday, Samantha Scheibe told police that Zimmerman had smashed a glass table, broken her sunglasses and pointed a shotgun in her face. She is heard on the call saying "Get out of my house. Do not push me out of my house. Please get out of my house." She said later on the call "He pushed me out of my house and locked me out. He knows how to do this. He knows how to play this game."

Zimmerman also called 9-11 and denied pointing a gun at Scheibe, and claimed it was she who smashed the table, telling the dispatcher she'd, "gone crazy" on him.

George Zimmerman was acquitted earlier this year of all charges in the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin.
