New York Knick Facing Gun Charges

Raymond Felton

(AURN) -- New York Knicks point guard Raymond Felton was arrested early Tuesday and is facing three criminal gun charges.  On Monday night, Felton played in the Knicks lost to the Dallas Mavericks at Madison Square Garden.

According to police, Felton is charged with second and third degree criminal possession of a firearm which is a misdemeanor.  In addition, reports say that Felton turned himself in at the 20th Precinct Station on the West Side. 

Felton is expected to appear in court today.  Meanwhile, New York has some of the strictest gun possession laws in the nation.
