Rep. Lewis Gets 'Happy'!

(AURN) -- It was during a belated birthday celebration in his Atlanta office Thursday, when U.S. Congressman John Lewis started snapping to the beat of Pharrell Williams' hit song 'Happy'.

His quick thinking staffers started filming him and the rest is  history.  A YouTube post of the the usually stoic Georgia lawmake has gone viral.  The video was recorded on 'International Day of Happiness' which used the Pharrell song for people to display what makes them happy.

According to Congressman Lewis' chief of staff,  his boss has wanted to know who did the song, Michael Collins told USA TODAY,  "The congressman, ever since Pharrell came out with the song, he's wanted to know, 'Who sings that song? Who sings that song [...] He gets into it. The congressman has this incredible spirit. Whenever he hears the song, he's like, 'Turn it up. Turn it up.' Whenever he hears it, he just lights up."
