Barry Bonds back in the 'Burg'

Barry Bonds

(AURN) -- The man who holds the Major League Baseball record for home runs will be back where he started today when Barry Bonds pays a visit to PNC Park for the opener between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cubs.

Bonds played for the Pirates from 1986-1992 and during his final season with the team he was named National League MVP. His return to Pittsburgh is to present the 2013 NL MVP Award to current Pirates outfielder Andrew McCutchen.

McCutchen led the Pirates to their first winning record since Bonds left to sign a then-record six-year, $43.75 million dollar contract with the San Francisco Giants.
