(AURN) -- According to reports, Boko Haram gunmen kidnapped eight more girls aged 12 to 15 from a village in northeast Nigeria overnight.
Reuters quotes a resident or Warabe, where the attack happened as saying, "They were many, and all of them carried guns. They came in two vehicles painted in army colour. They started shooting in our village.

(AURN) -- 'Boko Haram', roughly translated means "Western or non-islamic education is a sin." It is also the name of the terrorist group that has claimed the responsibility for kidnapping over 250 Nigerian schoolgirls who were getting that Western education. The terrorists have also threaten to sell the girls.
As pressure ramps up on the Nigerian government to find the girls, Nigerian officials say they don't know where the girls are. AURN white house correspondent April Ryan has more.

Meantime, reaction to the crisis reaches far and wide. U.S. Representative John Conyers of Michigan and comedic actress Jenny McCarthy are among thousands who have posted tweets to the Twitter campaign #BringBackOurGirls:
200+ girls have been abducted b/c they had the courage to dream big and attend school. America & allies must commit to #BringBackOurGirls— John Conyers (@repjohnconyers) May 6, 2014
Help #bringbackourgirls it's time we ALL start talking about this and bringing more attention to such horrific crime.— Jenny McCarthy (@JennyMcCarthy) May 6, 2014
